All medications must go through a rigorous process outlined by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) before they can be prescribed by a health care provider or sold over the counter.  That rigorous process includes research studies with volunteers just like you.  Some of the medications we have studied at AAIR that have since been approved for retail include:  Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, Advair, Flovent, Albuterol, Spiriva, Remicade, Embrel, and Benlysta.  By being part of a research trial, our volunteers had the opportunity to take these medications before they were available to the general public. 
Health insurance is not necessary to participate in our studies.  Compensation may be available for your time and travel. Check out our current studies to see if one is right for you!

AAIR Research Center is a division of Allergy Asthma Immunology of Rochester, PC, a multi-specialty group practice specializing in allergy, asthma, pulmonary, pain, and the rheumatic diseases.  AAIR Research Center has been conducting quality clinical research since 1985 making us the first private research practice in Rochester.  Our Medical Director, Dr. John J. Condemi has been involved in research and conducting clinical trials for over 40 years.
   In addition to Dr. Condemi, we have 5 other M.D. investigators and one Nurse Practitioner sub-investigator who provide medical exams and answer volunteer questions during visits.  We also have 5 nurses who conduct visits for the clinical studies and meet one on one with the volunteers who participate in research trials. You can see our pictures and learn about each of us on our About Us tab.
